Artist's Description
This painting was inspired by a farm near my house on Bainbridge Island, WA. I would take walks and pass this small field where the cows would be lazily hanging out and munching grass. It actually has this old airstream sitting in the middle of the field. The contrast of a life of travel and adventure versus the rather sedate lifestyle of cows struck me as a bit funny. I thought that just maybe, if we could read cow's minds, they might tell us that they would very much like to get out of this field and travel a bit. Hence the title "Bessie Wants to Travel".

I have seen the original oil this man created. I am still amazed at his talent - Norman Rockwell, were he still with us, would most certainly consider him a peer, if not a mentor. Thank you Ron for your awesome work.
